HAPPY EASTER!!!!

AREA

Last week when we learned about area, we did a really fun activity. We used Cheez-Its to talk about area. The students were given the Cheez-Its and were able to make a design. Then, they had to color in the design they made with the Cheez-Its. Finally, they made a flip book and counted the area of their designs.

MEASURING WITH FEET

In Math, we have been learning about different forms of measurement. We learned that we can use many different materials to measure. These are called non-standard measurements.  Last week, we used a foot to measure different lengths. We began this lesson by reading The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss. Then, the students were broken up in groups and had to measure designated lengths using the foot they had decorated

. The students did a great job working together to complete the assignment.

In Science, we have been learning about light. We learned the different colors of the rainbow. We made an art project to help us remember the colors.
