In Math, we have been learning about different 2D and 3D shapes. Today we made those shapes with marshmallows and toothpicks. After we made them, we got to eat them. YUMMY!!!!!

Mystery Reader!!!
We had a Mystery Reader come to our class last Friday. The students were so surprised. She read us a chapter from a Box Car Children book, one of our favorites, that we will continue to read in class. The Mystery Reader was Pierce’s Mom. We were all sooo happy to see her!!!!!

What’s In My Teacher’s Bag? (Making Inferences)
This week we have been learning about making inferences. The students pulled different items out of my school bag, and then they made inferences about the items. They had so much fun looking in my bag!!!!
Next, the students picked two items from the list and made an inference about the items.
“OO” Sound!!!
This week our spelling words have the “oo” sound. We made a list of words that have the “oo” sound.
Then, we made “oo” glasses.
Root Beer Floats!!!
Last Friday, we made root beer floats. We have been learning about the three states of Matter. We combined a solid (Ice Cream) and Liquid (Root Beer) which created Bubbles which is a Gas.
We LOVE MATTER!!!!
